National Geographic a annoncé les gagnants de son concours 2012. Plus de 22 000 photographies représentant 150 pays  ont été envoyées et réparties parmi les trois catégories ouvertes (Nature, Lieux, Personnes). Le jury, composé de professionnels, a finalement attribué le grand prix et ses 10.000$ à Ashley Vincent. Celui-ci avait soumis l’image d’une tigresse prise au zoo de Khao Kheow en Thaïlande.
